A fitting tribute today to a lovely kind respectful human being, Andy I’ve known you since we were kids, you were the same age as my sister and me the same as Ian, we went to Hythe Primary, and at that point you were Ian’s little brother. Fast forward a few years and we had all gravitated towards golf, and a set of awesome mates still to this day… you were a very good golfer. I remember a time your mum bless her drove you Ben Johnson and myself up to Leckford and waited all day for us as we played, a lovely lady whi was also taken far too early. As I was a little older i had the privilege of having you in my junior team.. your handicap cane tumbling down to a point you were one of the best in the club. It was my privilege to mark your card in Club Championship 1996 the year you won, with something that had never been done and finished with 5 staight birdies to win! Andy you were such a gentleman on the golf course, something that summed you up to a tee (pardon the pun)

The final time I saw you was just before Christmas at the schools cross country at Gang Warily obviously struggling but not showing it, smiling away and well “just being Andy”

Below is a picture of the year you won Club Champs

Rest easy my friend X
